September Femastrology 2018

By Astrologer and Psychic, Victoria Bearden

September opens a doorway to progress! Mars, the “energizer” planet, went direct at the end of August, which is big news. Projects that failed to launch during the past few months could be successful now. If your motivation and get-up-and-go got up and went, you’ll start to feel more inspired. Saturn in Capricorn creates a harmonious trine with Uranus in Taurus, supporting new goals and opportunities. Find some new mountains to climb and get geared up! This is a great month to make business and financial decisions.

Mars Direct gives us an opportunity for some emotional clearing. Lots of energy has gotten bottled up during the last few months. Ego conflicts may have been hard to revolve, as they quietly boiled just beneath the surface. Now, the cat is out of the bag. In some ways, although problems may be more out in the open, they will be much easier to solve. Mars will re-enter Aquarius on September 11, 2018, giving us a chance to fix some things that went haywire over the Summer months, particularly where group cooperation is concerned. Aquarian natives will really feel the energy boost, as will the rest of us.

Saturn in Capricorn goes Direct on September 6, 2018. Review what you’ve learned during Saturn’s retrograde cycle that started last April and use this information to make good choices for the months ahead. Saturn represents the principles of order, structure, and commitment. Take a look at your goals and see if some of them need to get back on track.

There’s a New Moon at 17° Virgo on September 9, 2018. The New Moon is the phase of the moon when it is in conjunction with the sun and invisible from earth. It is also known as “the Dark of the Moon” and represents a time to retreat into our Inner Self to recharge our batteries. Since Earth Sign Virgo is linked to all aspects of health and healing, this New Moon is perfect for any and all activities that support our physical wellbeing. The Sun and Moon will make strong aspects to Neptune, Jupiter, and Pluto, opening up pathways to great insight through meditation and spiritual pursuits.

Autumn Equinox falls on September 22, 2017 at 6:54 pm PDT. The day and night will be equal in length, as a new Seasonal Cycle begins. In ancient cultures, and in modern pagan communities today, Fall is marked by many celebrations of Harvest. It is a time to give thanks for the amazing gifts the Earth has bestowed upon us, and to honor and recognize the fruits of our own labors. The Sun goes in to Air Sign Libra on the Equinox, and the energy shifts to that of relating and cooperation. Libra embodies the spirit of sharing and compromise, both good things to remember when dealing with our fellow humans.

The Autumn Cycle is also about work and productivity, as we gather up our resources before Winter. It is time to clear away worn out structures, and release what is no longer needed. On the autumnal equinox, many pagans celebrate Mabon as one of the eight Sabbats (a celebration based on the cycles of the sun). Mabon celebrates the second harvest and the start of winter preparations. It is the time to respect the impending dark while giving thanks to the sunlight.

There’s a Full Moon at 02° Aries on September 24, 2018, at 7:52 pm PDT. Full Moons represent the high point of the lunar phase, when the Moon appears fully illuminated from Earth’s perspective. This occurs when Earth is located between the Sun and the Moon. Full Moons are known to stimulate both psychic and emotional awareness. But sometimes, it can throw people into a little over-stimulation, so remind yourself to remain grounded and aware. When the Moon is full at this time of year we are given an opportunity to find the balance between the Libra’s need to compromise and Aries’ need to be an individual.

Opportunity Days: September 1, 3, 9, 12, 13, 18, 23, 24, 27, and 28
