July Sun Sign Profile: Cancer (June 21-July 21)
Moon ruled Cancerians are a pretty resourceful bunch. Although they are known for their “moods,” they are motivated, goal-oriented achievers, similar to their polar opposite, Capricorn. If you know a Cancer, take a look at their eyes. Sexy, limpid pools of mystery. Try all you want to figure them out. You’ll only be able to if they want you to!
Cancers are sensitive, intuitive, and creative, but also very strong. They stand out from the crowd when it comes to nurturing, protecting, and caring for those they love. If you get them to drop their defenses and become a close friend, you will be considered FAMILY. This is a wonderful trait, but can lead to a sort of clannishness that can make others feel left out.
Cancer is associated with the 4th House on the astrological wheel, which represents home, family, the past, and parents, particularly the mother. They excel in many fields but have a natural connection to women, kids, real estate, and restaurants. Their connections to the people, places, and things that represent their tribe are sacred. Because of this, they can become very attached to things that have sentimental value, and often have a great love of antiques and collectables. On the down side, they can also become packrats, holding on to decades worth of memorabilia. Impress your Cancer gal by buying her an engraved locket or keychain. She’ll love it! And never, never forget birthdays and holidays. Hallmark was probably invented by a Cancer.
In love they play for keeps. Occasionally, their somewhat overzealous desire to meld with a lover can turn into a smothering/mothering kind of deal. Cancer is a natural match with Water Signs Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces, as they share a similar emotional wiring and often share a psychic link. They also get on well with Earth Signs Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn, as they benefit from their steady and predictable energy. With Fire Signs Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius, Cancer may end up feeling upstaged or taken advantage of at times. For all the Sun Signs: Mercury, the planet of communication, went retrograde during the last part of June, and the entire month of July will be dominated by this somewhat annoying influence. Since Mercury Retrograde will be in the Sign of Cancer, plan on lots of emotional fireworks and potential upsets with family and around the home. Avoid big purchases, major decisions, and new projects until August, if possible. There is a lot of planetary action this month, and some of it is great. But things will be a touch on the volatile side, which might even trigger bizarre weather, earthquakes, or eruptions.

Aries (March 21-April 19) Take stock of things going on in and around the home. There may be some things that need repairing that just can’t wait. Family members might be a little touchy with you, so try to keep your cool if possible.
Taurus (April 20-May 20) You have all kinds of great ideas right now, but Saturn is making it hard for you to get some of them started. Be patient. The obstacles you are facing are very temporary, so why stress about it? Work on the things you know you can accomplish.
Gemini (May 21-June 20) Some of the opportunities that have been thrown your way over the last months might prove to be very rewarding now. Finances can improve, as can job situations. You may feel restless, but this is a good time to stay put and focus on getting ahead.
Cancer (June 21-July 21) Mercury Retrograde might bring up some old problems for you, but in general, all systems are go, with Lucky Jupiter in your sign now! Look for new opportunities; they will start popping up in many areas of your life, including the love and romance department. A trip might be in the offing.
Leo (July 23-August 22) Venus, the Love Planet, is in your sign, making you feel both amorous and creative. But your energy might be a little on the low side. If you feel it’s been a while since you’ve had a check up with the doctor, now’s the time. Take a little time off if you need a rest.
Virgo (August 23-September 22) Avoid wishful thinking and take advantage of reality! Even if things aren’t exactly how you want them, people will be very willing to help you now, so take advantage of the good vibes. Be social and get yourself out there.
Libra (September 23-October 22) As frustrated as you might be regarding some projects or work situations that haven’t gone as planned, this is a good time for your success. Don’t brood about the past, just show up, suit up, move forward. Many things are possible now.
Scorpio (October 23-Novemeber 21) You may be a little tired from some of the restrictions Saturn has been throwing at you, but this should improve this month. Follow your inspirations. Your impulses and psychic vibes are strong right now, so take advantage of the added insight.
Sagittarius (November 22-December 21) This could be a rather intense emotional period for you. Some things are pushing to a conclusion in your life. Let go so you can move forward. Someone may push your anger button early in the month. Try not to over-react.
Capricorn (December 22-January 19) You may not be in the mood for love, but head’s up single Capricorns, Cupid is coming your way. This is also a great month for all kinds of networking and joint projects, so go for it!
Aquarius (January 20-February 18) If you can get yourself organized with the mundane issues you’ve been procrastinating about, you will have time to take advantage of some very positive vibrations in the love department. Keep an eye on health issues, too.
Pisces (February 19-March 20) With all the Cancer planets lining up with your Solar 5th house this month, you’ll be swimming in a sea of love! Enjoy it and put energy into creativity and the pursuit of FUN.
